Elephants Reunited After 22 Years
Elephants are one of the animals that we consistently witness expressing emotions we are accustomed to as humans, such as mourning the loss of a loved one. Their eyes and body language can be very telling of their feelings and emotional state.
A video taken at the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee captures the moment when Shirley and Jenny, two elephants that worked together at a circus but were separated over 20 years ago, are reunited together for the first time since then. This emotional reunion is a happy moment for all but also serves as a sobering reminder of human captivity of animals for entertainment and the pain it can cause.
